Before your examination: how to prepare and what to bring
Bring a list of the medication and supplements you take, details of any previous aesthetic treatments and any relevant medical documents. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own; it is reviewed at the examination. If a cold sore, spot or infection develops in the treatment area before your appointment, let us know, as treatment may need to be postponed.
What to bring
- The names and doses of the prescription medicines, blood thinners, vitamins and herbal supplements you take
- The type and approximate date of any fillers, botulinum toxin or other treatments you have had, with any records
- Documents about known conditions, allergies and recent treatment
- A list of the questions you want to ask
Medication and supplements
Some medicines and supplements with a blood-thinning effect can increase the risk of bruising. Even so, do not stop them on your own: which ones matter is assessed at the examination and, if needed, decided together with the doctor who prescribed them. Always mention pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The days before your appointment
If you have an active cold sore, spots, a wound or an infection in the treatment area, or a feverish illness, let us know before your appointment; treatment is usually postponed in these situations. Mention any important event or long journey you have planned, so that the timing can be discussed.
The examination and the days after
What is discussed at the examination is explained in what happens at the first examination, and the first days after treatment in returning to daily life.
