Skin Rejuvenation in Istanbul: A Staged, Combined Treatment Plan

If you notice a general change in texture, pores, tone and elasticity rather than one single problem, a planned programme can make more sense than an isolated procedure. Dr. Nil Yazıcı assesses your skin and agrees with you which methods to use and in what order – with the schedule shaped around your visits to Istanbul if you are travelling.

Skin rejuvenation is a physician-planned, staged approach that treats skin quality as a whole, combining injectables such as skin boosters, polynucleotides and PRP with resurfacing methods such as chemical peels and microneedling. Which methods are used, in what order and at what intervals depends on the individual's skin and priorities. In Istanbul, Dr. Nil Yazıcı designs this plan after an examination, usually as a programme spread over a few months.

Why a physician’s assessment matters

Combining methods in the right order

In skin rejuvenation, the real difference lies less in which procedures are done than in their order and spacing: the timing of a treatment that renews the skin from the surface and an injectable that supports it from within affect each other. Dr. Nil Yazıcı builds the programme as a whole rather than as separate procedures, and adjusts it at every stage to how your skin responds. If hydration is all you need, a skin booster on its own may be enough; this page is for plans that address several needs together.

About Dr. Nil Yazıcı

Who may consider it?

A skin rejuvenation plan is considered when several needs come together:

  • Rough skin texture and visible pores
  • Fine lines, dryness and loss of elasticity noticed at the same time
  • A dull, tired-looking complexion
  • A preference for a coherent, scheduled programme over one-off procedures
  • Anyone who wants a long-term roadmap for skin health, supported by home care

What can it help with?

Rough texture and pores
Resurfacing methods aim to make the skin's texture look smoother.
Dullness
Skin can lose its freshness for many reasons; the options for dull skin are discussed at the examination.
Fine lines
Hydration support and tissue renewal aim to soften the look of superficial lines.
Loss of elasticity
Treatments that support the skin's own renewal processes can be included in the plan.
Dryness
Injectables that support moisture capacity can also help the skin recover after resurfacing.

Treatment areas

Hydration and texture support

A hyaluronic acid-based skin booster can form the hydration part of the programme.

Surface renewal

A chemical peel suited to your skin type can be added for texture and uneven tone.

Texture renewal

Microneedling can be used for pores and rough texture, and combined with PRP in suitable patients.

Repair support

Polynucleotide (salmon DNA) treatments can be included, particularly for thin and sensitive skin.

Home care and sun protection

A home-care routine suited to you and consistent sun protection are part of the plan, helping to sustain the effect of in-clinic treatments.

How it works

  1. Comprehensive skin assessment

Your skin type, priorities, current products, sun exposure and medical history are reviewed in detail. If you live abroad, this conversation can begin in an online consultation.

  2. Your roadmap

The methods, their order, the intervals and the overall duration are explained to you as a written plan. Important dates – and, for international patients, travel dates – are taken into account.

  3. Staged treatments

Methods are applied at intervals that let the skin recover between stages. Resurfacing and injectables are usually planned for different sessions rather than the same day.

  4. Interim review and maintenance

The plan is adjusted to your skin's response throughout the programme; at the end, a less frequent maintenance schedule is recommended.

Sessions and treatment plan

How is the programme built?

Skin rejuvenation is not a single session but a programme that usually spans 2–4 months and includes several methods. For example, a plan might alternate hydrating injectables with resurfacing sessions a few weeks apart. Which methods are chosen and how many sessions are needed depend entirely on the examination findings; the same programme is not applied to everyone.

What to expect, and when

  1. First consultation

Your skin is assessed and the programme is ordered according to your priorities.

  2. First month

The first treatments of the programme are carried out; depending on the method, brief redness, small bumps or light flaking may occur.

  3. Months 2–3

For most people, changes in texture and hydration become more visible during this period; the plan is updated if needed.

  4. After the programme

A maintenance schedule and home-care routine are agreed together.

Aftercare

In a combined programme, aftercare depends on the method used; the general principles are:

  • Follow the method-specific aftercare instructions you are given after each session
  • Do not pick or rub flaking skin after peels and microneedling
  • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day throughout the programme
  • Pause retinol, acids and exfoliating products for as long as your physician advises
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours after sessions
  • Check before adding new products that may not fit with the programme
  • Let your physician know about prolonged redness, burning or any unexpected reaction

Limits and important considerations

A skin rejuvenation plan should be built on realistic goals:

  • Many methods are not performed, or are postponed, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • No treatment is carried out on areas with an active infection, cold sore, inflamed acne flare or open wound.
  • Peels and microneedling may be postponed if you have recently taken oral acne medication (isotretinoin); this must always be mentioned.
  • A tendency to keloids or poor scarring, autoimmune conditions and blood-thinner use must be assessed at the examination.
  • Marked sagging and volume loss are outside the scope of this programme and are discussed separately.
  • Moles that change shape or colour, treatment-resistant acne or melasma may require a dermatology assessment.
  • Results are gradual, vary from person to person, and require maintenance to be sustained.

A multi-month programme and your travel

Because the programme runs over a few months, treatments for patients coming from abroad can be grouped around your trips to Istanbul: some steps fit into a short visit, while interim reviews can take place by online consultation. Help with scheduling, transfers, accommodation and interpreting is available throughout. Resurfacing steps that may cause a few days of flaking are timed with your return journey in mind. Frequently asked questions

Is skin rejuvenation a single procedure?

No. Skin rejuvenation is the name for a programme that combines several methods according to the individual. Which methods are used is decided at the examination.

How long does the programme take?

Most programmes run over 2–4 months. The duration depends on the methods chosen, the starting condition of your skin and your priorities.

Do you use lasers?

No. This programme does not include device-based treatments; it is built from injectables, chemical peels, microneedling and home care.

Will I need time off work?

After injectable sessions, most people return to work the same day. Peels and microneedling can cause a few days of redness or flaking, so these sessions are scheduled around your calendar – and your travel plans.

What is the difference between a skin booster and skin rejuvenation?

A skin booster is a single treatment that provides hydration support with hyaluronic acid. Skin rejuvenation is a combined programme – which may include a skin booster – addressing several needs such as texture, pores and tone.

Can I start in the summer?

Injectables can be planned at any time of year. With resurfacing methods such as peels, extra care is taken during periods of strong sun, so the programme can be adapted to the season – and to the climate you will be returning to.

At what age should I start?

There is no set starting age; the decision is based on what your skin needs, not on your age. Younger skin may only need a lighter, preventive plan.
